WHO WE ARE

We are passionate about waiting times improvement and have a range of services available to NHS organisations throughout the UK, with the goal of cutting waiting times, improving outcomes and driving positive change. What makes us different is the NHS experience we have – with our senior consultants each having at least 10 years’ experience working in the NHS, giving us unique insight into its challenges and solutions to these obstacles.

MEET THE TEAM

Karina founded Acumentice in 2014 to add sustainable value to the NHS and improve patient experience at every level. She is a former NHS Director and Senior Leader, with extensive experience and subject matter expertise in all aspects of healthcare management, and a particular focus on elective care recovery, waiting list development and management, and digital systems and their impact on patient pathways.

What do you like most about working at Acumentice?

I love being able to solve complex healthcare problems alongside an exceptionally talented team that is driven by strong values. I also really enjoy how we all challenge each other when designing interventions or solutions – that’s how we innovate!

Karina Malhotra

Managing Director

Stephen has over 22 years’ experience of working in the NHS, which includes working at director level for the last eight years. His experience spans acute, community and commissioning organisations, in a mixture of medium and large complex trusts. He joined Acumentice in May 2023 to help grow the company in a number of ways.

What do you like most about working at Acumentice?
I enjoy working with a dynamic, highly skilled team, that are on a mission to deliver bespoke and sustainable solutions to improve elective care.

Stephen Hall

Director of Consulting Services

Lucy joined Acumentice in June 2020, having previously spent a number of years in the education sector. Her multi-faceted role includes HR, finance, operations, marketing and business development, everything from onboarding new employees to helping grow the company’s brand reputation.

What do you like most about working at Acumentice?
I love being part of a fast-growing company and building a fantastic company culture from scratch!

Lucy Mills

Director of Operations

Philip has been a Principal Consultant at Acumentice since 2020, delivering projects with a focus on elective care management, data quality, and digital transformation. He has been supporting improvement programmes across the NHS in various capacities since 2007.

What do you like most about working at Acumentice?

I enjoy that we have a flexible way of doing business which lets us focus on the right solutions.

Philip Purdy

Principal Consultant

Matt joined the Acumentice team in January 2023, with more than a decade’s experience in copywriting and content management roles. He is responsible for managing our social media presence, writing topical, insightful blogs, creating new content in a variety of areas, and increasing our brand exposure.

What do you like most about working at Acumentice?

I enjoy the flexibility, creative freedom and autonomy I am afforded in my day-to-day work, and the sheer variety of what I do.

Matt Lane

Digital Copywriter

Michael joined us in August 2023. He previously worked as an internal management consultant in NHS England Intensive Support Teams (ISTs): first in the IST for elective care and cancer and then for seven years as a founder member of the IST for mental health. He has also carried out a number of NHS IMAS assignments in acute trusts, and a secondment for nine months as national head of performance for learning disability and autism at NHS England.

What do you like most about working at Acumentice?

I enjoy the strong team approach and values-based decision-making, combined with the technical expertise and practical experience that the team can bring to any problem across acute care, mental health, data and informatics.

Michael Watson

Principal Consultant

Jackie joined Acumentice in May 2024 as an Office Adminstrator, with over 15 years of experience in the administration sector in various roles. Her current role is within the Operations Team, where she provides essential administration support for the company.

What do you like most about working at Acumentice?

What I enjoy about working at Acumentice is how personable and diverse the team is. Their norms and values resonate deeply with me. Being part of an organisation that offers so many opportunities to get involved in different aspects of the business is incredibly fulfilling.
